electroencephalography (EEG), and known as cortically coupled computing.
The project will involve the development of an immersive (virtual and
augmented reality) experimental test bed to present 3D immersive stimuli
to users and involve tasks such as locomotion, visual search, and other
perceptual judgments. This experimental test bed will log EEG and other
forms of data, which will be interpreted and used to train algorithms to
assist users in performing complex recognition and search tasks. The
researcher would contribute to study design, data analysis,
implementation, and submission of results for publication.
The project is supported by US Army funding and will be performed in
collaboration with researchers across a number of different universities
