Long Version:
We are looking for world-class academic in the area of immersive
mixed-reality systems to join the Virtual Environments and Computer
Graphics (VECG) group in the Department of Computer Science at UCL. The
VECG group investigates fundamentals and applications that enrich the
human experience of digital content. The main purpose of this new role
is to support the growth of the Computer Department through conducting
research, teaching, outreach and entrepreneurial activities in areas
related to immersive systems.
The candidate should have experience in immersive displays and real-time
interactive systems. This might be from a system and hardware point of
view, or perceptual, cognitive or social evaluation point of view. They
should have a PhD in a related discipline. We are interested in people
that build and evaluate systems. Appointment at Lecturer (grade 8) or
Associate Professor (grade 9) will be determined by the depth of
experience and track record. For grade 9, the appointee would be
expected to demonstrate sustained excellence in all aspects of academic
life.
We offer an attractive range of staff benefits including 41 days annual
leave per year (pro-rata) inclusive of closure days and bank holidays,

The appointment will be on UCL Grade 8. The salary range will be Grade 8
£44,674 - £52,701 per annum; & Grade 9 £57,279 - £62,283 per annum,
inclusive of London Allowance.
