tools and cognitive aids for first responders in Fire Safety, Police and
Emergency Medical Services.

Specific tasks for the postdoctoral associate will include:

  * Work in partnership with public safety agencies to elicit
requirements; design and prototyping of interaction techniques and
user interfaces in virtual reality for the simulation of next
generation public safety user interfaces; evaluation of the
prototypes with the first responder target populations.
  * Lead undergraduate and graduate student research with the DiVE lab.
  * Significantly contribute to grant proposal writing and submission.

*Qualifications*

Applicants should have, or are about to complete, a Ph.D. or equivalent

requirement analysis, human-centered design and user studies.
  * Experience with virtual and/or augmented reality design and development.
  * Ability to spec, install and maintain VR/AR hardware.

The following are desirable qualifications:

  * Record of research results at an international level.
  * Experience with physical prototyping, such as 3D printing and
    laser-cutting technologies.
