into permanent academic posts over the 5 years. The academic posts
will be entry level (Lecturer/Assistant Professor).
The School of Informatics is one of the world's top research leaders
in computer science/informatics.
The University of Edinburgh is one of the world's top research
universities, in one of the world's most pleasant cities.
One of the priority areas is 'Data Intensive Research', which
can include computer vision/image analysis researchers.
(The other 5 non-imaging areas are listed below.)
Your main focus MUST be on the 'Data Intensive' aspects,
but the source of the data could be imagery/video and its linkage to
other large data sources, eg web, large image databases, broadcast TV
streams, etc.
These posts are for top candidates only. You MUST have a minimum of 2
excellent publications, such as in PAMI or ICCV/ECCV/ACCV/CVPR oral papers.
Anything less will not be considered in this recruitment round.
