Liebe Kolleginnen und Kollegen,

die Fakultät für Technische Wissenschaften vergibt drei zweijährige Stipendien für Frauen, die an einem der Master-Programme Technische Matematik, Informatik und Informationstechnik teilnehmen wollen (500 € pro Monat).  Anträge sind bis 31. 7. 2011 per E-Mail an dekan.tewi@aau.at zu senden.

Call for applications:

3 Stipends for WOMEN to Join the Master's Program of the Faculty of Technical Sciences at Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt

The Faculty of Technical Sciences is offering a two-year scholarship in each of the following programs at the Master's level:
- Technical Mathematics
- Informatics
- Information Technology

The scholarship is 500 Euros per month.

Prerequisites:
This opportunity is open to women with
- a relevant Bachelor's degree from an Austrian or recognized international university
- who are seeking admission in the 2011/12 school year and
- who are either fluent in German, or fluent in English and willing to live in a German-language environment.

Selection process:
A jury will select candidates based on qualifications and motivation.

Application process:
Applications must be submitted electronically on or before July 31st, 2011. Send submissions to the Faculty of Technical Sciences, dekan.tewi@aau.at.

Complete submissions must include
- a letter of motivation
- a curriculum vitae
- copies of all relevant degrees and academic transcripts.

Applicants will be advised of their status via e-mail by August 15th, 2011.
The faculty reserves the right to withhold the scholarship if no applicant is deemed suitable.

Financial details:
The stipend of 500 Euros per month will be paid over the course of two years starting in the Fall Term 2011/12. Continued payment is dependent upon successful completion of pertinent courses amounting to at least 20 ECTS per semester. The student will be required to provide their academic record and a report on their progress at the end of each semester. Failure to meet these requirements will preclude the continuation of the stipend. No further payments will be made.
