Reader or Lecturer in Image and Signal Processing and Communications
University of Edinburgh
School of Engineering

To continue its policy of investment in excellent people, the School of
Engineering is seeking to appoint a high calibre individual to the position
of either Lecturer or Reader. The appointment will be in the research area
of Signal Processing, Image Processing and/or Digital Communications.

The University of Edinburgh is an exciting vibrant, research led academic
community offering opportunities to work with leading international academics
whose visions are shaping tomorrow's world.

You will be internationally prominent in this field (Reader) or clearly
demonstrate the potential to be so (Lecturer). In making this new appointment the
School seeks to take full advantage of the UK Research Council's recently stated
intention to 'grow' DSP (digital signal processing). You will be expected to
provide excellent vision and delivery in research and will contribute to the
teaching in the School of Engineering. You will also be expected to undertake
administrative duties. The decisions for the level of appointment (Lecturer or
Reader) will be made by the short-listing/interview panel.

Informal inquiries: "Bernard (Bernie) Mulgrew" <B.Mulgrew@ed.ac.uk>
